Occupational Therapy Services.
I am a small “one woman” therapy service, with an aim to have a limited number of clients to whom I can give 150%! I pride myself on being thorough, dedicated and organised. I will tailor your child’s therapy sessions to their individual needs, and hope to give you lots of ideas about how to continue your child’s development outside of sessions – often you’ll have lots of tools under your own roof! I want your child to find Occupational Therapy a positive experience, and therefore sessions are play based, consistent, structured and most of all FUN!!
I’m always on the look-out for new games and activities, and encourage children to have some choice and control within sessions to ensure that they are motivated to participate in OT. Finally, although Health Professionals like OTs have expertise in lots of areas, YOU are the expert on your child. I do not promise to have all the answers, but hope that we can work in partnership to find them together. Core to all Occupational Therapy is client-centred and family centred practice.
You can access my services in multiple ways:
- Privately paying
Check with your Private Health Fund whether you are covered for some rebate on OT Services. - Enhanced Primary Care Plan
This plan, which is provided by your GP, allows you 5x sessions per calendar year, for which a Medicare rebate of $52.95 is available. - Mental Health Care Plan
This plan is also provided by your GP or Paediatrician. It entitles your child to 10 bulk-billed Medicare sessions per calendar year - Helping Children with Autism
1) Your Paediatrician can refer your child for 20 sessions which receive a rebate through Medicare. These sessions are a “once-off” and can be used up until a child is 15 years of age.
2) My application for the federally funded FaHCSIA scheme is currently pending. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO USE THIS FUNDING TO ACCESS SERVICES VERY SOON!
